Lucan are well represented at this year's event with players in action on both days.
Saturday will see the Gents Inter and Junior teams battle it out in Castletown with the Gents Inters starting proceedings alongside Louth at 8:30. Gary Ryan is Lucan's sole representative on the Dublin team, making his first appearance as an adult having previously been apart of a successful Juvenile team.
The Junior team resembles that of a Lucan League team with five Lucan players making the six man side. David Lee will captain the side which also contains Jonathan Dillon, Jack King, MJ Maher and the quiet man of the team, Jay Condron.
While over at Gaeil Colmcille, Siobhan McDonnell will make her maiden appearence for the Ladies Inter team with action commencing at 10am.
On Sunday the action shifts to the Senior ranks in Castletown with new Lucan recruit Linda Thomson making yet another appearance for the Dublin Ladies side. Dublin will play alongside Offaly in what promises to be a tight championship.
In the Senior Gents grade Keith Redmond and Dublin Strokeplay champion Chris Gallagher will be flying the flag for Lucan as they take to the course alongside Kildare at 11am (approx).
We wish all Dublin teams and especially our own representatives all the best of luck. | |
