Dublin Strokeplay Finals

A very good weekend was had this weekend in the club for the Dublin Strokeplay. In the ladies event on Saturday we claimed four prizes. In the junior grade Dora Keane won after she beat Trish Anderson in a 3 Hole playoff- Dora was -1 for the playoff! Evelyn O'Gorman won the inter grade and Siobhan McDonnell was runner up. Ger Ward (Portmarnock) won the senior grade with an impressive 99 and Siobhan Keeley finished runner up. Well done ladies!

In the gents we were also well represented at the presentation. In the junior grade we took the top 3 spots- Alyn Poleon won, Stephen Needham was second and David Lee was third. In the inter grade Tom Mc Morrow and Eric Byrne (Old County) were tied at -10 after 36 holes and went out in a 9 hole playoff which saw Eric Bryne take the title so Tom finished runner up. In the senior grade Darren Kane finished with a score of -20 to claim runner up while Chris Gallagher finished -23 to win the competition for the second year in a row. Excellent shooting for both of the lads.

Well done to the two sponsors of the competition, to the Dublin Board and to everyone who helped in any way over the weekend- Very much appreciated!
