Winter Leagues - Week 2

Winter Leagues Week 2 (Sponsored by Pat Toolan)

The craic was mighty this week in the club for the second week of the winter leagues. It was a good week for the women as we saw four scalps. Firstly Catherine Leonard did the double by beating Noel Ryan, the second week in a row for Catherine to get a scalp! Despite his birthday being so close, Mairead O'Brien showed no sympathy in beating Seve Mc Grath. á McDonnell got the last singles scalp when she beat Des Sherdian. The most interesting scalp of the day however was the double's scalp which saw Philis Holmwood and Kathleen Granger beat Pat Flannery and Christy Dobbs of the one and only dream team. I guess it was more of a nightmare than a dream for the lads!
