Winter Leagues - Week 1

Last week also saw the start of the infamous winter leagues. Only one scalp was had when Catherine Leonard beat Leo Holmwood. There were no white washes yet but I'm sure there will be in time to come! Some teams did have big wins however.

In group 1 Catherine Leonard's 'Morris Minors' beat Jimmy Thompson's 'Tomo's Quartet' 9-3. In group 3 we saw Keith Maher's 'Rockets' beat Tony McDonnell's 'Optimists' 9-3 and Philo Condron's 'Fridge Magnets' beat Des Sheridan's team 'Rudies Reindeers' 9-3. In group 4 the well liked Dream Team started the league with a 6-6 draw with Gerry Wards team 'Wardies 4'.
