Lucan's Chris Gallagher and Anthony "Skinner" Malone were on hand to help Dublin claim third position in the National Gents Inter County Championship in Hillview, Co. Tipperary over the weekend.
Paired together in the doubles on Saturday, Chris and Skinner had a rocky start but were quick to redeem themselves in the afternoon session. Sunday seen Chris produce an incredible 43 in his opening round to which he later added a steady 53. Skinner totaled 101 for his singles, made up with rounds of 53 and 48 respectively.
The event was won by Cork on a total of 771, with hosts Tipperary in second place on 782, with Dublin finishing just four back on 786.
No Lucan ladies made the Dublin Ladies team, as they also finished in third position, behind winners Tipperary and runners up Kildare. |
