Dave Hayden Takes Top Spot

One of Dublin's most decorated champions comes to the fore as the home club dominate proceedings in the Lucan Scratch Cup to kick off The Dublin Scratch Cup Series.

There were very few players under the illusion that home players wouldn't figure in the shape up for the Lucan Scratch Cup 2013, most visitors were hoping that they could be in a position to really challenge after 36 holes whilst also having an eye on picking up Series points to get their campaign off to a start. The Series standings are now available and with David Hayden leading the Gents and Philo Condron leading the ladies, things look very strong from a Lucan point of view but it is certainly early days in the Series.

David Hayden of the Lucan club took top honours with a blemish free score of 28 under par and he tops the Dublin Scratch Cup Series after our first ever event. We would like to sincerely thank all the players who supported us in Lucan and ask that everyone keeps up this level of enthusiasm as we get on the road to Old County on the 25th of August for our second Series event.
