| Ladies and gentlemen our season is in full flow now and i'm sure everyone is very happy to be back playing. I wanted to give you all an update on some things that have happened regarding competitions over the last few weeks and also update you all on some future competitions etc. The Ace of the Club Finally, after many months of promotion and me annoying you all the Ace of the Club finally got underway. Before I go into any details regarding the leaderboards, I would just like to thank all members who have entered this competition. We have 105 players playing in this new competition and that to me is fantastic and I am very proud of how this has turned out. We are still open for new entries so anyone who hasn't already you can get in contact with me and we can get you in. Now to the leaderboards and as you can see by the attached picture we have some early hot hands taking leads in all 4 of our formats. In the Gents Nett Danny Kilduff and Dermot Heffernan have started with some classy 43's which have them out in front from the chasing back. In the Gross section Chris Gallagher shot a superb 42 this weekend to give him an early 4 shot lead on the pack and it will be up to everyone to start putting in those low rounds during the upcoming events. To our Ladies section and one lady has really started the season well with 3 wins, but if you go back to even the Turkeys this lady is on a 5 win streak as she was part of the winning winter league team so its no surprise she has gotten herself on top of not just the Gross but also the Nett events. It is only 1 event in so still plenty of events to go. Next events - Gross 3rd to the 6th of April Nett 17th to the 19th of April. The Captains Drive In We had a great weekend for our 1st competition of the year seeing our Captain Michael, our President Tommy and our Chairman Mick hitting the opening tee shots of the season. They were led out to the tee by a piper and also our Saint Patrick (Dan Coady) who was blessing us all for our new season. The Competition itself had some fantastic scoring and our overall winners were Nicky Creevey and Tracey Smith. Details regarding the presentation will be posted in the coming weeks. Well done to and good luck to all in the season and to our Captain and President. Outside News In outside competition we have had some great performances over the early part of the season. In this weeks Ladies Ranking event our 2 Ladies Glenda Hoey and Siobhan Keeley played fantastic down in Fermoy and were both top notch 10 finishers. Scratch cups are coming quick and fast and we have already had some stellar performances. In the Meath County Board Scratch Cup Damian Creevey was 2nd in the Senior Grade and in this weekends Kildare County Board Scratch cup we had another great performance from both Damian and also Barry Gorey. Timesheets and Entry Sheets On the 3rd of April I will be posting 2 sheets in the committee room. The first sheet will be for the Rememberance our 1st major of the year, the second will be for the club mixed foursomes. So members have a few weeks to get partners organised.
