| Winter League Final Well what a final we were treated to this past Sunday. Finally after 8 weeks we have our 2026 Champions The Rhinos. After a brilliant start from The Unknowns in the doubles it was up to The Rhinos to chase them down in the singles and they did just that winning 3 of the 4 games which tied up the match at 6-6 and a playoff was required. After a little debate from both teams it was decided that Noel Ryan (Rhinos) would take on Dave Perry (Unknowns) in the 9 hole playoff with Dave receiving 4 shots. The chat with his team must have given Noel the kickstart he needed as he flew into a 2 shot lead after the 1st two holes with two birdies. Over the next 6 holes Dave would have 4 shots and it was a tough task for Noel to hold on but he did maintaining at least a 1 shot advantage all the way to the final hole and taking the title for his team. It was a fantastic final played in great spirit and sportsmanship throughout well done to both teams. A special thanks to the competitions committee for helping me out over the weeks with desk duty and anything else that was asked of them. Also a massive thank you to Dave Hayden II for his continued support with the website. Thank you to all the Subs who helped teams compete in matches. Lastly a massive thank you to our Sponsor Halpenny Golf. Captains Drive In The Timesheet for the morning session is now full. Members can arrive after 11.30 and play, there is no timesheet for the afternoon. A reminder to all that you must have your fees paid before the captains drive in and be registered to be able to play. Any player who arrives on the day to pay fees hoping to play will not be allowed as you will not be registered and therefore cannot mark a card or compete in the Drive in. Ace of the Club The numbers are growing week on week for this competition and I could not be happier with the response from our members for this new competition. Currently we have 55 Gents paid and entered onto the leaderboards and 25 ladies paid and entered. If anyone would like any information or would like to pay their entry into this competition please contact myself or Noel Ryan. Outside Competition Currently on the noticeboard we have entry sheets for the Leinster Mixed and Non Mixed scotch foursomes. There is also an entry sheet for both the Ladies and Gents Ranking events with the ladies being held in Fermoy and the Gents in Tullamore.
