Winter League
Week three of the Winter League was played in much better weather conditions this weekend. Again we had some very closely contested matches. Group A – saw the Murphs beating New Faces 10 points to 2 and the Oddballs beating the Dan Dans 8 points to 4. The Murphs are certainly going to top this group. Group B had a free week this week but this group is very close to call as to what teams will qualify out of the section. Group C saw the Philipos sharing the points with Rooneys Rogues 6 points each and the Dream Team beat the Rhinos 8 points to 4. Group D saw Coogans Bluff beating Paddys Pirates 10 points to 2 and the Barbarians beating Price's Penguins 8 points to 4. This group is also very close to call as to who will qualify out of the group. The Dream Team had their manager (Christy Dobbs) on the course this week to encourage them along – and they did not let him down with Johnny Price taking the honours with a hole in one on the 5th hole. Great to see you back Christy. It was also good to see Peg and John Smith and Adrian Dignam up to support the players.

The ladies secured another three scalps this week with Brenda Purcell beating Dermot Buckley, Marie O'Keeffe beating Ciaran Ennis (Ciarans second scalp) and Trish Tully beating Fergal Power.

Membership Fees
Membership Fees can be paid on a Sunday morning at the club house to any committee member or you can pay on line ensuring you quote your name and registration number.

If you would like to join our Club please download an application form from the website and fill in the relevant details and return same – or email the secretary at [email protected]. Indeed you are more than welcome to call into the Club House and ask for any committee member who will be only too willing to discuss your enquiry – best time to call is on a Sunday from 10am

Get Well Wishes
We send our sincere best wishes to Angela Shanahan and look forward to seeing her back on the Wednesday mornings. It is great to report that our President Michael Purcell is over his surgery and slowly making progress and we take this opportunity of wishing him well.
