Remembrance Competition
Last Saturday we held our Remembrance Competition and we were lucky that the weather held up. This year we are honouring the late Paddy Monaghan and Mickey Joe Maher. The photographs of these two gentlemen were on display in our committee room and visible to see by all competitors as they entered the clubhouse. The chat about bygone days brought back many a memory. Rest in Peace - Paddy and Mickey Joe.
Congratulations
This week's congratulations goes to Damian Creevey who brought back more silverware on Saturday last. Damian first played on Saturday morning in our Remembrance competition and then travelled to Kilcullen to play in the Liam Sherry Scratch Cup in St. Bridget's Pitch & Putt Club and was successful in winning the Scratch Cup - our fourth cup so far this year - well done to you Damian. Not to be outdone Orla Creevey, Lennon Blake and Gareth Walsh were runners up in the Dublin Scramble in Portmarnock on Sunday - great shooting 27 under.
Dublin Leagues
The Leagues are going well for our Club and so far we have the gents' junior team through to the final. Our other ladies' and gents' teams still have matches to play but looking good to qualify.
