Paddy Monaghan R.I.P

It is with great sadness that Lucan Pitch and Putt Club has learned today of the passing from this world of Paddy Monaghan (R.I.P). Dodsboro and Lucan mourns the loss of another member of one of its' longest established families.

Lucan Pitch and Putt Club membership acknowledges that Paddy's passing on to the next life makes us realise that another link to our earliest days in the 60's has gone to his eternal reward.

The greater number of years that Paddy graced in membership of Lucan Golf Club as a well respected playing member and an equally respected holder of the highest office in the Administration of the Golf Club will no doubt be called to mind over the coming days and weeks.

In the earliest years of our Club the need to garner the interest and dedication of persons who were whole hearted about the continuous development of Pitch and Putt in Lucan was so essential. Paddy very early on came on board to this end in making our club at the 12th Lock a work in progress. His departure to Lucan Golf club did not demean his interest and support for Lucan Pitch and Putt Club. Paddy's continuous sponsorship over many years of Juvenile and Adult competitions of our Club has always been appreciated and is well documented in the history of our Club.

The members of Lucan Pitch and Putt Club wishes to extend to Paddy's wife Kathleen and family our deepest sympathy in their sad loss.
