In group 1 Brenda Purcell's team was well beaten by Dan Coady's team 3-9 and Billy Blake's team had a narrow victory beating Andy Fitzgerald's team 7-5.
Group 2 - Philip Sweeney's team beat Mick Purcell's team 8-4 but Philip was not a happy camper as P.J.McCluskey lost both of his games and was told by Philip to pull his socks up!!! The in form team Tony McDonnell's terrors trashed Pat Blake's team 10-2 and Paul Dillon's team beat Barbara Furlong's team 7-5.
Group 3 - Stephen Keegan's buccaneers beat Des Sheridan's mauraders 9-3,Johnny Price's team beat Donal Callahan's team 9-3 with the help of super sub Seve McGrath winning both of his games.Philo Condron's charges and Bernie Blake's blockbusters shared the spoils 6 all.
Group 4 - Gerry Hennessy's giant killers beat Mick Duffy's team 7-5 with another super sub Mary Fitzgerald taking Mick Duffy's scalp and the massacre of the weekend was the match between Dora Keane's team and Kathleen Croke's team with the latter winning 0-12. | |
