Noel Kelly (RIP)

In the last few days our club learned of the passing of one of its former members Noel Kelly (RIP). The committee and members of our club extend their deepest sympathy to Noel's wife Patricia and their family. Noel's membership of our club extends back to the 1970's when our club was in its early stages of development and Pitch and Putt at a national level was strong and vibrant. Noel was a regular Sunday morning player and supported all competitions. In the early 80's he was instrumental in setting up a golf society in the Lucan Pitch and Putt Club and for many years afterwards it proved very successful and enjoyable for our members. Noel had a quiet shy personality but in sport was keenly competitive and determined. He was a senior handicap pitch and putt player at the 12th Lock and proved to be a very capable and skilled golfer for many years with Lucan Golf Club. Our club are very proud and thankful to have had the services and inclusion of such a fine sportsman as Noel. A thorough gentleman by nature, Noel will be fondly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have shared his company. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
