Bernie Blake R.I.P.

The committee and members of our Club wish to extend their deepest sympathies to Patsy, Billy, Paul, Robert, Pamela and Suzanne on the passing from this world of Bernie. May she Rest in Peace.

Bernie who was Lady Captain of our Club in 2011 has been a member of our Club for many years. Her enjoyment of our game knew no bounds. Every time Bernie played, she played just for the enjoyment of the moment, the pleasure of being with people and the score on the card would come up for discussion sometime later. On and off the course of Pitch & Putt Bernie brought light heartedness and smiles to the company she shared. Her sense of humour was the envy of many and the sharing of funny incidents in her life brought out how openhearted and carefree this lady was. Her inclusion in your day always brought a smile, a funny story. Lucan Pitch & Putt Club is today saddened by the passing of one of its longstanding members who supported its weekly competitions year on year and who will be long remembered for the smiles and enjoyment that she brought to all who knew her.
