Aaron and Martina clinch Dublin Strokeplay titles

Congratulations to Lucan duo Martina Tierney and Aaron Brazil who triumphed to win the Ladies and Gents Junior titles on day one of the Dublin County Board Strokeplay Championships in Loughlinstown today.

Aaron, one of the many former C.P.M. members who now call Lucan home, is already doing Lucan proud by clinching his first major title, not a bad start in his first year as a Lucan member. Aaron's score of 109 around a tricky Loughlinstown course was enough to hold off fellow Lucan club mate Fergal Power who finished runner up with a score of 111.

Martina Tierney, on her first foray into outside competitions, rounded off a fantastic day for the Lucan club in Loughlinstown, when she held her nerve to claim her maiden championship crown by two shots after carding a total of 132.

A special mention must also go to Philo Condron who finished runner up to Ger Ward in the Ladies Senior Grade.
