The 2012 Club Strokeplay turned out to be a great success with a super turn out and some nice weather to compete in.

The Gents Senior grade was won by Darren Kane with a score of 144 after 54 holes narrowly beating Terry McMorrow in a sudden death hole on the fourth hole after a three hole play-off was tied with both players two under par.

In the Ladies Senior grade Barbara Furlong [166] beat Kathleen Croke [170] in a closely fought match with both players on the same score going into the play-off.

The Gents Intermediate grade was won by Michael Monahan with a great score of 152 beating Barry Aird and Tony Gallagher in the play-off and in the Ladies Angela Shanahan [186] beat Catherine Leonard [196] in the play-off.

The Gents Junior grade was won by Michael Donnelly [164] after some super scoring in his first rounds, Michael shot a 61 and a 46 which proves that you should never give up. He beat Tom O'Hare into the runner up spot, Tom scored a 168.

The Ladies Junior grade was won by our lady vice captain Maria Rooney [208] beating Dora Keane [234] into second spot.

Well to all the players for adhering to the dress code on the day.
