News | Dublin County Board Annual Convention Update | Posted on 27 May '21 by Dave Hayden II | | Following the DCB Convention held via Zoom on Monday evening, an Officer Board could not be elected as per 17.3 of the Constitution. This is a disappointing and sad occurrence for Dublin pitch and putt, the largest County of pitch and putt Ireland registered members. As a result, the future of the Dublin County Board will be handled by the NEC.
In the meantime, we would request all Dublin clubs to pass this information to their members in the hope a couple of members come forward for the positions of Chairperson and Honorary Secretary. There are two willing, experienced and dedicated Officers, Marise Carroll Honorary Treasurer and Breda Boyle Competitions Secretary committed to the Officer Board for 2021. If any interested members require more information on any positions, the outgoing Officers are happy to discuss.
The Pitch and Putt Ireland Constitution requires a County Board to have a Chairperson, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer at a minimum and anyone interested should contact the Secretary of Pitch and Putt Ireland, [email protected].
