Carol Hynes R.I.P.

Our Club learned this morning Sunday 6th September of the sad passing of our long standing member Carol Hynes (mother of Tracy Needham and sister of Rudy Keegan). Carol passed away last night at St. James's Hospital after a short illness. Carol who began her pitch and putt days with the Royal Meath Club joined Lucan in the late 70's and was a member of the ground breaking Junior Ladies team who won the Dublin League in 1985. Carol was elected Lady Captain of our club in 1990 and worked on committees for several years. It was irrelevant to Carol whether it was Winter or Summer, she always enjoyed supporting and playing in Winter Leagues, Handicap Matchplays or Scratch Matchplays and all our weekend competitions. The committee and members wish to extend their deepest sympathy to Tracey and Rudy and to the extended family.
