The gents leagues will consist of Senior, Inter & Junior players on a team. The format will comprise of three foursomes (1 from each grade) & 9 singles (3 from each grade). No limit to a panel but minimum requirement is three players from each grade to fulfil a fixture.
Clubs can enter more than one team and can add players to their panel providing the player in question is registered before the first league match and has not played for another team.
The structure of each fixture is Senior v Senior, Inter v Inter & Junior v Junior. Players handicaps at the start of the first match stands for the duration of the leagues. Players who are drafted in during the leagues must play off their current handicap on night of fixture.
Players in higher grades can play in lower grades.
We will need a minimum of 4 teams to form a league.
Points awarded as follows:
4pts away win
3pts home win
2pts away draw
1pt home draw
League matches start at 7.00pm.
Clubs can nominate a set day for home matches. Matches must be played by Friday of that fixture week. In exceptional circumstances where a fixture cannot be fulfilled, clubs must contact the League Secretary.
Entry Fee is €60 per team. In the event of 2 teams from a club - €50 per team. |
