We now know the teams for the quarter finals - the favourites 'The Fridge Magnets' just fell at the last fence and now must wait until next year. Like 'The Dream Team' who also failed to qualify - it will be back to the drawing board for these two teams - not to worry they have a year to contemplate where they went wrong!!!!
The ladies did very well this week in securing five scalps - Angela Shanahan beat Seamus McCormack, Trish Anderson beat Jay Condron, Marie O'Toole beat James Smith, Kathleen Croke beat Christy Dobbs and Catherine Leonard beat Dave Lee.
Congratulations to Ciarán Ennis who 'stopped the rot' in securing a half match against Kathleen Granger.
It was great to see Frank Loakman back in action and helping his team qualify for the quarter finals.
The pairings for the quarter finals are as follows:
The Diggers V Seve's Sockets
Flynn's Flyers V The Poppys
Paddy's Pirates V The Dan Dans
Golden Oldies V The Philipos
Thank you to our sponsor Halpenny Golf for sponsoring this competition once again.
