Our Club's prominence as one of high achievement reached a new and historical pedestal last weekend. We do acknowledge all those members who did take part in the Dublin Matchplay Championship on Saturday and Sunday last but pride of place must go to Anthony Malone, Dave Hayden II, and Terry O'Shaughnessy who won the Dublin Matchplay in their respective grades. This has been the first time that these honours have been achieved by Lucan Pitch and Putt in the same year and adds a further page of history of our Club in what has been a most successful year. Congratulations also to Tom McMorrow and Angela Shanahan who were runners up in this competition - well done to all.
Dublin Matchplay Championship Winners
This is Dave and Terry's first Dublin Matchplay win and for Skinner it is his fourth win - 1984, 1996, 2004 and now 2018.

Juveniles - President's Day
Sunday 9th September is our Presidents Competition. The tee off is at 1pm and as this is the last year for our President Michael O'Gorman we would appreciate a full attendance. Best wishes to all competitors on the day.
Paddy Croke (Senior) RIP
It was with a sense of great sadness that we learned of the death of our honorary member Paddy Croke last weekend. Paddy has been a long standing and much respected member and has seen our Club grow from its early days to the high achieving one that it is today. Paddy's unavoidable absence from the Club in recent times due to his ill health has not gone unnoticed, and he has always been respected for the many years that he has given (together with Peggy) in working with and encouraging the juvenile section of our Club. Amongst the many proud years that Paddy had with us were those when his two sons Paddy and Gerry captained our Club so successfully. The committee and members wish to extend their deepest sympathy to Paddy's wife Peggy and family. Ar dhéis De go raibh a anam.
