National Gents Junior - Strokeplay
It is with great pride that we congratulate John Byrne who won the National Gents Junior Strokeplay last Saturday in Glenville. This win for John puts him at the pinnacle of his career and may we wish him every congratulations. Since the commencement of this Pitch and Putt Union of Ireland Competition in 1961 - Lucan have won it three times. In 1971 we had P O'Callaghan, in 1975 we had J. Byrne and in 1976 we had P. Breen and now we add our fourth winner -- John Byrne.
Congratulations to Chris Gallagher and Anthony (Skinner) Malone who qualified for the play off in the National Gents Senior Strokeplay. Well done lads and also congratulations to you both on making the Dublin Inter County Team.
Congratulations to Philo Condron who has made the Ladies Dublin Inter County Team. Best wishes to all three in your endeavours to help Dublin bring home the trophies.
Juvenile Captains' Day
Our Juvenile Captains' Day was held on the Wednesday 11th last and by all reports it was a great success. Congratulations to all the juveniles who participated. The winner of the Lady Captain's prize was Eimear Ahern. Eimear has been playing consistently well all year and congratulations to her on winning this competition. The winner of the Gents' Captains prize was Alex Keegan. Like Eimear - Alex has also been playing consistently well over the year and delighted to see him in the winners enclosure.
Thank you to our Captains for their prizes and thank you to the juvenile committee and helpers for organising a most enjoyable day - well done. Thank you also to the course committee for having the course in such great order.
No juvenile competition on Wednesday 25th July due to the Club Open Week.

Bring a Friend
Members please note that Wednesday 8th , 15th and 29th August we will be holding a Scramble and you are asked to invite along your friend(s) and encourage them to participate in the game. These nights will be fun and we encourage any budding pitch and putt players to come along and join in the competition. The start time is 19.00 hours.
