Captains' Day
What a turn out last Saturday for our Captains - Philip and Tracey. They were busy all day leaving water/ice on the course for all the competitors - thank you to your both. We had our Captains' Dinner on the Saturday night which was most enjoyable. Both Captains welcomed our guests and thanked the members for all the cards and gifts they received on the day. They also thanked all committees for their hard work during the year. They thanked the competition secretary - Noel Ryan for his work during the day to have all the cards checked and now ready to announce the winners.

The winner of the Lady Captain's prize was Maria Rooney. In her speech Maria said she was so proud to have won the Lady Captain's prize and thanked the Lady Captain for such a fantastic choice of prize. Maria left one thank you out of her speech on the night but now wishes to correct same. Thank you to her playing partners Patricia Tully and Hugh Rooney who encouraged her throughout.

The winner of the Gents Captain's prize was Stephen Needham. Stephen said that the pressure on the course was nothing to the pressure he feels now in having to make a speech. He thanked the Captain for his prize and thanked his playing partner Donal Cahalane who gave him great encouragement over the 36holes.

Juvenile Captains' Day
Our juvenile Captains' Day was last Wednesday. We will have a full update for next week's report

Leinster Under 16 Matchplay
What a great day for two of our Juveniles in Poulaphouca last Saturday. Maebh Ahearn is our Leinster Girls' Matchplay Champion and Eimear Ahern was the runner up - very well done girls.

Des Flanagan - Dublin Mixed Foursomes
Once again our Club Members were in the prizes with Angela Shanahan and Noel Leonard securing the Best 18 in Ringcommons Pitch and Putt last Sunday - congratulations to you both - great scoring.


Bring a Friend
Members please note that Wednesday 8th , 15th and 29th August we will be holding a Scramble and you are asked to invite along your friend(s) and encourage them to participate in the game. These nights will be fun and we encourage any budding pitch and putt players to come along and join in the competition. The start time is 19.00 hours.

Condolence
The committee and members wish to extend their sincere sympathies to Marie and Christy O'Toole on the death of their son-in-law Declan Mullane RIP. Our thoughts are with them and the family at this very sad time
