The lads got off to a good start winning two of the doubles with Dave Hayden & Sean Gallagher and Billy Blake & Gerry Ward winning their repsective games.
In the singles the Erin's Isle lads really put up a strong fight winning the first singles to level the tie. Sean Gallagher found himself 1 down playing the last but produced a great pitch on 18 to bring the match on a tie hole which he won on the first time of asking that was soon followed with Noel Ryan getting a point which meant Lucan needed one point from the three remaining games which they found themselves losing in all three. Tom McMorrow was two down with two to play but managed to birdie the last two holes to force a play off. Barry Aird also found himself one down with one to play but also managed to bring a play off which he won on the first to take the title for Lucan for the third time in the last four years.
