Winter Leagues Week 5

Yesterday the group stages of the Winter Leagues came to a close leaving the quarter final fixtures as follows-
Team E (Mick Morris) V Team J (Peter Keogh
Team G (Agnes Dignam) V Team O ( Seve McGrath)
Team N (Kathleen Croke) V Team B (Noel Leonard)
Team I (Captain Terry) V Team M (Paul County).

The quarter final will take place this Sunday the 12th (10.30am & 11.30am), all support welcome up.

There are two scalps to report from last Sunday. The first one was a super scalp which saw Kathleen Grainger beat Noel Leonard. All the men know it is very difficult playing women in the winter leagues as all the supporters are against you. Lucky for Noel the supporters didn't get to see the scalp as he was beaten so far down the field! The second scalp was Kathleen Croke beat Eric Heffernan. Rumour has it Eric and Noel and trying to get going on the ladies day away now instead of the gents! Fair play to both lads who stayed around and took their slagging, many have been known to dash into their car without making an appearance in the clubhouse! Hopefully we have another scalp or two to report next week!
