Handicap Changes
The first week of changes to handicaps was Monday 25th April so all players are asked to check the handicap website to see their playing handicap or see the updated handicaps that will be on noticeboard in the committee room.
Dublin Scramble
Last Sunday was the Dublin scramble and Lucan was very well represented. With the wind howling and the greens very very fast it was going to take some very good performances to take the first County title of the year. In the morning session at 9 last year's holders Christopher Byrne, Damian Creevey and Tess O' Donavan set the morning lead as they hoped to retain their title. With the weather staying the same the mid-day session would have to match the morning with the super scoring and the eventual winners Team Blake would come in with superb score of -21 and take the title for the Lucan club. Hopefully this is a sign of what is to come for the Lucan players.
Well done to winners Patsy, Bernie and Billy and also Christopher, Damian and Tess for getting runners up.
Hon the Lucan!!!!
League Matches
The Dublin leagues will kick off on the 9th of May with the Intermediate gent's team at home to Erin's Isle. All support would be greatly appreciated for all the league matches this year as we look to bring more and more silverware back to Lucan.
This year the committee has asked that all players please sport the Lucan colours either the white club t shirt or the club jumper.
Scramble Day
There is a scramble day taking place on the Monday of the May bank holiday weekend (2nd May) with a morning session (11am) and an afternoon session (1pm) to celebrate 100 years since 1916. Everyone to wear something green! There will be a prize for whoever puts in the most effort! Juvenile members are welcome to play and the scrambles will be followed by some music in the bar afterwards.
Chase the Joker
Chase the Joker continues this week as the Main man hasn't been found yet with the pot after last week over the €600 mark. So this Friday we will try again with darts and pool and some great craic.
