The Winter League Final
The final of the 2016 Winter Leagues took place yesterday between The Fridge Magnets and The Philipos. Both teams were out looking for their first Winter League title.

The Philipos had the perfect start after they took the two doubles which saw Frank & Dave beat Jay & Gerry and Sandra & Paul beat Philo & Peter. This left the score 4-0 to the Philipos going out in the singles. Paul beat Philo on the 16th hole to not only prevent a scalp but also to make the match 6-0. The Philipos then secured victory when Frank won his match against Jay.

Sandra got the last scalp of the year when she beat Peter on the last hole.

Congratulations also to Philip (The Philipos) and to Dan (The Fridge Magnets) who were originally on the team and helped their teams get to the finals.

Well done to both teams on making the final and thank you to Halpenny Golf for sponsoring this competition.

A special thanks to everyone who helped make the leagues as successful as they were.

The Gents Day Out
Please note in order to secure your place on the Gents Day Out to Ryston, a deposit of €10 must be paid on or before Sunday, February 21st.

Full payment must be made by Sunday, March 6th.

Payment will be accepted by Noel Leonard, Terry O'Shaughnessy or Michael O'Gorman.

Womans Day Out
Money for the ladies day out to be paid to Bernie Blake, Kathleen Croke or Brenda Purcell

Friday Night
Last Friday Chase the joker was not won the carryover is €300+ and it is starting to get very interesting with more and more people showing up to try and find the joker and win the cash.

The darts was won last week by John Byrne who continues his unbelievable rún in the weekly darts competition.

Special mention to Lady Captain Siobhan and Vice Captain Linda who kept everyones bellies full last week as they spoiled us all with homemade 3 in 1's thanks again.

Upcoming Social events

12th of March gents and ladies day out come and join us in the club after with DJ Flano

19th March is our Drive-In weekend and we will celebrate the start of the new season with Strike 2

2nd April our first Presentation night of the Drive-In and the Easter Classic with music from John Collins
